
The RTRNitro RS4 3 Drift has
many of the features found on our popular RTRNitro RS4 3 Evo+,
making it a great choice for car parking drifters. The tough 4WD shaft drive
system keeps the drivetrain running smoothly even on surfaces that
aren't completely free of rocks. The enclosed receiver &
battery box keeps the electronics protected from the elements, and
with its easy removal from the chassis clean-up is a
snap. A stiff purple anodized aluminium 2.5mm chassis prevents flexfor consistent
handling and extra durability. The all-new, specially
designed drift chassis positions the engine as far forward
in the chassis as possible,
giving the RTR Nitro RS4 3 Drift
unbeatably realistic handling. Combine this with a durable 4WD shaft
drivetrain, your car will quick acceleration and
manoeuvrability and poise as you drift through the corners!
The RTR Nitro RS4 3 Drift uses
the same suspension as the kit-build Nitro 3 18SS+, so it is
tough, fully adjustable and loaded with features. Tough nylon suspension arms,
hubs and uprights, combine with steel hinge pins to form the main
parts of the suspension. The tough parts and components can handle
the strain of the engine and the speeds that you can
hit. Easily adjustable steel turnbuckles form the upper link
of the dual-wishbone suspension. Composite oil-filled shock
absorbers are fitted with special HPI drift springs for smooth
control and consistent handling. A smooth ride lets the power get to
the ground from the 4WD shaft drivetrain, and also gives you
consistent control because all four wheels can stay on the ground.
The low stance of the car enhances the control at all points around
the track or car park, so youfll have full confidence to slam the
car in a long powerslide at each corner!
Power comes from the potent HPI Nitro Star G3.0
nitro engine (.18 Cu. In.), with more than 2 horsepower and 32,000
RPM on tap for tyre-smoking drift action! A large diameter aluminium
tube manifold and an all-new rear exhaust muffler system routes the
engine smoke out the back of the car for scale realism and clean
operation. The G3.0 is also equipped with a pullstarter for quick
and easy starting. A sturdy pull starter system, oiled air
filter, 2-needle carburettor, aluminium flywheel, strong steel
clutchbell and aluminium tube manifold complete the power delivery
package, making the G3.0 easy to start, run and maintain!
The drivetrain used in the RTR Nitro RS4 3 Drift
is protected from rocks and other debris by a solid shaft-drive
system. From its first use on an off-road, big-tyre truck, the HPI
Nitro 4WD system has been refined and perfected over several
generations of HPI cars and trucks. From the clutchbell and spur
gear set, all the way to the drive axles, this is one of the most
solid drivetrain sets you can find in RC! Large 1M (1 Module)
gears spin the single-speed transmission, which gives you fingertip
throttle control as you slide around the curves. It also lets you
get up to speed fast so you can pound the corners one after another!
Centre dogbone shafts drive the front and rear sealed bevel gear
differentials, splitting power through heavy duty outdrives which
drive the super drift Type A tyres. The 4WD shaft drivetrain in the
RTR Nitro RS4 3 Drift is as solid as you can find anywhere, and is
tough enough to take the power of the G3.0 engine and not worry
about any debris wherever you may run!
