1/5th big scale! The SAVAGE 5T RTR debuts!

The Baja 5B/T is extremely popular for their dynamic drive performance. With the SAVAGE 5T, you can enjoy the same dynamic drive performance as the Baja 5B/T on Savage! The SAVAGE 5T is designed based on the Savage XL and comes with a super long TVP chassis to realize powerful 1/5th scale! The SAVAGE 5T features the "SAVAGE" reliability and excellent drivability due to the shaft drive 4WD system. In addition, the chassis, which is so light for a 1/5th model, features nimble handling and great top speed. The SAVAGE 5T is a completely assembled RTR model and will be ready in a short time!
Newly designed Main Chassis
The front part of the main chassis is 2.2 inch longer to accept 1/5th scale wheelbases. The extended part has two cross braces to minimize chassis twist.
Desert Buster tires/Terra Pin Tires
You can use either Desert Buster Tires with great looks or Terra Pin Tires
with great performance by switching the axle and wheel hub.
3 Speed Transmission Installed
The SAVAGE 5T features the Savage 3-speed transmission to get the most
out of the huge torque from the K5.9 engine. Metal gears with the new
high-speed 3rd gear give you legendary durability, consistent shifting,
quick acceleration and high top speed. The transmission is fully adjustable,
so you can choose when the SAVAGE 5T will shift into higher gear!
24mm Hex Hubs
Newly designed 24mm Hex Hubs are employed to accept the BAJA 5T wheels.
In addition, a newly-designed Axle realizes optimum tread when the BAJA 5T-1 Truck Body is used.
Reinforced All-Metal
Differentials
The SAVAGE 5T continues the tradition of tough, overbuilt HPI monster
trucks with several new drivetrain parts that are a standard part of
the SAVAGE 5T's arsenal of tricks. Machined steel diff rings and pinion
bevel gears are built to take the power of 5.9cc of nitro-burning mayhem.
Alloy diff cases and 4-gear diffs with new larger diff outdrives and
axles round out the ultra-strong differentials.。
Thicker Dogbones
Heavy-duty Dogbones with thick shaft and end are used.
Machined Steel Spur
Gear
A machined steel 52T spur gear is the perfect match for the horsepower
of the Nitro Star K5.9 engine. With a heavy-duty vented clutchbell spinning
the spur gear, you get a huge amount of drivetrain protection with gears
that won't strip, melt or break in the roughest of terrain and conditions!
Aluminum Three-Shoe
Clutch
The SAVAGE 5T uses a new 3-shoe aluminum clutch to get the power from
the engine to the drivetrain. The aluminum clutch shoes will resist
wear and engine heat for extra life and consistent launches. There's
no more secure way to get the power to the ground!
High Torque Metal Gear
Steering Servo
The HPI designers chose a super-strong, extra-tough high torque metal
gear servo for the SAVAGE 5T. With nearly 9kg of force per centimeter,
the SF-5 will get turn the large Terra Pin tires for responsive steering
at any speed! There's no need to upgrade the servo - this baby's got
it all! With the bellcrank steering and built-in servo saver, you can
be sure that the SF-5 will be fully protected against crash damage or
bad landings!
Rechargeable Receiver
Pack and Charger
To make sure the servos have all the power they need and then some,
we're throwing in an HPI 6 volt 1200mAh NiMH battery pack! This rechargeable
pack even includes a convenient wall charger so you can make sure that
the XL is always ready to rumble! You don't even need to take the pack
out of the truck to charge it - just use the convenient charging jack
built into the radio box and you're ready to go!
Tough ABC Construction
With true ABC construction (Aluminum case and piston, Brass Chrome-plated
cylinder), the Nitro Star K5.9 delivers massive torque and horsepower
and long engine life. The three-needle carburetor uses a 9.5mm inlet
to get in as much fuel as possible and uses a composite body to prevent
heat from the engine case affecting the fuel supply. A huge flow-through
finned aluminum heatsink head keeps things cool, and even features sweet
laser-etched logos!
Roto Start 2 Installed
Get things going quickly with the Roto Start 2 electric starting system
pre-installed onto the back of the engine. The Roto Start 2 replaces
the standard pullstarter with a handheld shaft-drive starting unit so
you don't have to deal with pullstarting the engine by hand. Just install
a charged 7.2v stick-pack battery into the Roto Start 2 hand unit, insert
the shaft into the back of the engine, press the button and you're off!
It doesn't get any easier!
